Global Social Lead
Katie Keating leads social brand strategy at IBM where she oversees the corporate IBM social channels and leads a global team of social practitioners. Keating is responsible for company-wide social activation and guidance efforts around major campaigns to ensure coordination among market category, regional and business unit teams.
Since 2014, Keating has overseen strategy for IBM’s master brand social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest. Her content strategy has resulted in industry-leading engagement rates and more than 60 articles have been published praising IBM’s approach to social. IBM’s Instagram, which Keating launched, has grown to over 100,000 followers and is consistently included on lists of best B2B Instagram accounts.
Keating is also responsible for identifying emerging platforms and channels and setting brand standards accordingly. She launched IBM’s Snapchat account, which has since been used to share numerous IBM stories across six continents.
