Jasmine Atherton leads social media at Airbnb for the Americas. In her role, Jasmine oversees the strategy, editorial content and teams contributing to Airbnb’s social presence, over doubling it in the most recent years.
Her appetite for innovation has driven best-in-class content and numerous awards for her team including Cannes Lions, Webby’s, Effie’s, Twitter Awards, Skifties, Shorty Awards and Best on Social in 2016 for Adweek ARC awards.
Jasmine is active in driving diversity within the marketing industry–– not just within the content, but also the actual creative teams. To balance the representation of women and people of color amongst creative teams, she’s helped drive diversity recruitment at Airbnb.
Prior to Airbnb, Jasmine worked as director of digital marketing at agency What’s Up Interactive, where she focused on emerging marketing technologies. She was the foremost authority on social, digital and SEM for partners and clients including Coca-Cola, AT&T, Home Depot and the American Cancer Society.
She holds a B.A. in marketing from the University of Georgia and is an active member of both the National Iranian American Council and Women In Technology.
