Kate Balzer

Kate Balzer has been with The Atlanta Women’s Foundation (AWF) for five years.  As Development and Communications Manager for (AWF), she creates, implements, and oversees all communications for the Foundation.  Passionate about community service since her first volunteer project at age 9, she is driven to helping communities develop sustainable, local solutions to socio-economic challenges.  Kate earned a B.A. in International Studies from Emory University and a Master of Public Administration in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.  While a master’s candidate she interned with CARE USA in Bolivia and consulted for several nonprofit organizations on their organizational development, including Central Coast YMCA, Global Majority, and Hands On Bay Area.  Kate was also a founding Board Member and Co-Chair of the revived chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Atlanta (YNPN Atlanta) and is currently Board Chair of Emory University’s Friends of Dance Advisory Board.
